Thanks for the replies! I'll have to check for ribbing on the steerer. It's on the bike, so it might be tricky to see.
Speaking of the bike, it's on a 1981 Schwinn Superior, which came to me with an incorrect 27" chrome fork. Superiors originally came with an OEM Tange fork, so this one seems pretty close to "correct". It certainly rides nice and handles beautifully.
I got this fork from another forum member years ago with the intent of using it on a track bike. The rake was wrong, so it just sat until I got the Superior last year.
