There's an even more economical solution than road shorts under your favorite regular shorts. Since you are near an REI, check out the Andiamo cyling briefs. They're cheaper than shorts and still have the same chamois. If they don't have 'em in stock (it's winter and they run their cycling gear low), check online. You can have it shipped to the store and save the shipping charges too
