Conti GP III tires. Planet Cyclery has em for $70 per pair in 25mm. Fast tire, good price.

Vittoria Rubino Pro tech III is another option that is a good mix of weight, speed, price, and protection.

Clement Strada LGG in 120tpi is another good tire. Good mix of speed and flat protection.

Gatorskin tires are hard and dead feeling. At least to me, when compared to other options.


As for a light...something that costs $50-100 and puts out 500-700 lumen will be great. Being rechargable with a standard usb charger cable is important too.
