It is worth asking. You should be aware that the Cannondale ownership in 1995 is vastly different than it is today. Cannondale went into bankruptcy in the early 2000's.

I have no idea what the response will be, but it was owned after the bankruptcy by an asset management company and then sold to a conglomerate. Have no idea if warranties are valid after a company goes bankrupt.
