An alternative is whatever baggy shorts you like and padded liners. The baggy shorts hide the padded liners, so only your butt will know.

My Pearl Izumi Canyon mountain bike baggy shorts included a nice sculpted 3D padded liner that I rarely used the past couple of years. I might use it now that I've switched my road bike to a firm saddle with minimal padding.
