I remove my stands' (I have two portable Parks) clamps, swing them about to let fresh air get deposited and reinstall them. Only after this "waving of the clamps" will the stand even hold a bike


I never have used any lube on the plastic clamp interfaces. I do use whatever grease is in reach on the metal ones. Silicone and Teflon are two common plastic compatible lubes, if you wish to try. Andy
