Come one folks ... the Worst AV company with (by Far) the worst AV system (do the research) did a terrible job at something which should have been easy.

While Uber proved unable to travel 13 miles without a near catastrophe, Waymo managed 5500 miles.

Waymo is Right Now operating Totally Driverless cars On Public Roads ...

Heard much about it? No, because nothing bad has happened.

I am not saying AVs are ready for prime Time ... but this most people here are going in the opposite direct.

From the start even the most ardent AV proponent has admitted that the Lidar should have spotted the pedestrian and the AV brain should have responded.

Pretending this one incident by one Uber represents the state of the art is ridiculous.

Makes for easy self-righteous rants, but .... as the bard said, 'Much sound and fury, signifying Nothing."
