Indoor riding I wear the same bike compression shorts I wear outdoors. That way I know what I wear will work in and outdoors. Compression bike shorts, lined. If I am working out I wear loose gym shorts over the compression shorts. works for me....riding is riding. You need to be comfortable with the clothes and yourself. Long distance can take it's toll on loose fitting chafing clothes. Tighter is usually better for riding.
