Good to know, but I can't say I've ever seen a 490T ring for sale, while complete Stronglight 99 cranksets (and other 86bcd sets) are readily available on eBay, often for very reasonable sums.

I have in my stash a 50.4bcd outer ring that's drilled for 122bcd rings. That's never struck me as a particularly practical idea.
