What characteristic of an asymetric rim do you feel contributed to the spoke pulling through? Since the purpose of the asymetric rim is to reduce dishing and reduce the right side spoke tension. The left side should be virtually unaffected. Certainly the left side spoke tension would be less than a conventional right side dished wheel.
