So can I, and I'm alert to things that could build resentment, but I don't let it worry me too much. Our vehicles have varying abilities, and they turn into privileges. Bikes are skinny and maneuverable, so we can slink between lines of cars, we can move from street to sidewalk, we can run red lights without repercussions (usually), so that can built resentment. But it would be preposterous to say no one should have advantages that come naturally with one's vehicle. I don't resent car drivers for the fact that they can accelerate more quickly and move more quickly. Everything has tradeoffs. To say I shouldn't be able to pull away before the green or I shouldn't be allowed to split lanes is like me saying cars can't go faster than bikes are able to go.
