edit: Always claim The Sunshine State! .... because, I got no retort there. We hardly see that bright blob in the sky for very long stretches at least 4 months a year. Add on 2-3 more months of 'less than regularly'. Coffee and refreshments help keep one active at all the alternative outdoor activities. Lack of daily sunshine is the price we pay for year-round moderate temps and relatively gentle weather systems in the lowlands.
I had enough snow and COLD weather when I was younger.
I went to high school in Olympia and understand about not seeing the sun for many months of the year.
