Ciocc Campagnolo Columbus Aelle Info Required/sale

Hi,

I'm looking for as much information as possible about the attached bike. I know its roughly from the 80's and is a columbus aelle steel frame with campagnolo parts. It needs a lot of TLC to restore it and I'm wondering if it's worth restoring it with as many original parts as possible or it's not worth it because it's better just to keep the frame and update the parts with new.

I have no idea the value of the bike or parts either as is or once restored/replaced. At the moment, the gears move through the different positions relatively smoothly but obviously I'm not able to test properly. The brake levers are extremely stiff front and rear with little movement of the pads. The rust on the chrome should be able to come off but I've not been able to try yet. It needs a new chain but other than that there's no damage just general wear and tear.

ANY information about the year or how it compared to others at the time would be appreciated.
