I have been thinking about building up a Sturmey Archer SX-RK3. It is made for 170mm drop outs and is 36 hole hub. It will be used on my Munzie 616 which limits the tires size to about 4". I just can't seem to find many options on 36 hole fat bike rims. I only see a few offered here and there on ebay. I believe all fat bikes that can use 5" plus tires will have 197mm drop outs. Most fat bikes bottom bracket (shell width) are 100mm and some are 120mm.
yeah that's the hub I have, I think. got a 3sp Schwinn chopper wheel and don't think I want to work with the 20" size. since I'm wanting to go up to 26" I might as well look into wider too. most likely i'll use it on a single speed mongoose beast I picked up used if I can't come up with (or afford if it gets costly) a more interesting option.
