Agreed the wheels were cut on a sharper/slower turn, if not turn-around... I forget already.

About how much you figure just a basic, or maybe even 'advanced', bike fitting alone(no new parts, save a shorter stem maybe?) at a decent LBS should run me?
Bike fit probably around $250? I purchased a new bike last year and I got it done for free. One of the nice things supporting the same bike shop for years and years they will do some super nice things for you.
If this your first ever clipless pedals I would ride for a bit before get a bike fit. I waited a couple of years before doing the fit. I was going to pay and have it done and my LBS said wait until you get what you think is dialed in then "fine tune" with a fit. Then when I purchased my new bike my guy said it was time.
I would recommend a bike fit to anyone, it was awesome and made a difference to me.
FWIW my cleats go about 2 years
