Dogwood winter!


The front that came through this weekend knocked temperatures down 45 degrees, so it was about 35 instead of the 80F I rode home in on Friday. Time to find all the winter clothes I had ready to store for the summer. Again. Post-front winds are usually out of the north, but it was pretty steady from the NW this morning.


re: dogwood winter, we put in a new, pretty small dogwood tree this spring to replace the one that was killed by the drought a year and a half ago (the drought that led to the fire that hit Gatlinburg, TN). I didn't expect anything from that tiny tree this year, but it fooled me and put out one lovely blossom!
