Regardless, spokes making noise at the crossing (or at the eyelets if present) doesn't indicate a serious issue, it's just a possible annoyance.

I would try to contact Kinlin or a supplier for advice re: tensioning with tire on or off. I emailed Kirk Pacenti about my rims, and he was very clear and helpful about how their max tension rating was to be used.
I tape the rims together and move 1 spoke at a time.

Yes, but what was Pacenti's advice? The really weird thing about this is that spoke tension varies a lot, depending on what tire is mounted. Some tires must have much lower stretch belting than others. I'd just never noticed it until I mounted the PZeros.

I think the max tension rating for the Kinlins is 125 kgf, but since I have almost symmetrical hubs, I use 110, now with tires mounted.
