If the original derailleurs were in fact long cage Jubilees, that would be unfortunate to say the least. The current selling prices for those have become absurd.

I also think a Luxe would be perfectly appropriate, and quite possibly what the original was. Luxe and Jubilees are outwardly similar looking, but the materials are different. The Jubilee is aluminum, Luxe are chromed steel. If the original was very shiny, it was a Luxe. Also, every Jubilee RD I've ever seen has had the Huret logo in script on a black field on the front of it. Maybe there are exceptions, but if so they are rare.
