I live in Canada, so have been having trouble sourcing the new freehub body on it's own for a reasonable price online. I figured it would be helpful to have an entire hub too in case of mismatches between cones/cups/spacers etc.
Looking at your first post, if you have the Shimano FH-1050, HG cassettes will fit. I have that same hub, on one of my bikes. It fits both UG and HG 7 speed cassettes. The threaded portion is used to secure UG and the inner threads secure HG. Look at the slots, one slots should be larger that the others. This is HG compatible, no further mods needed, just add a 7 speed HG cassette, done.

Why replace the entire hub, it only contains the NDS cup.

Why would you want a 6 speed UG ? And that hub your looking at , has a 180mm axle ? KB
