Actually, I also noticed your gearing must be quite broad, triple with quite the freewheel/cassette, almost what I am looking to build for my go anywhere, commuter grocery getter. Can you share or point me to your build thread? Nicely done!
Missed this...thanks! The build thread's linked below. I've been meaning to update it once I get the correct water slides I grabbed a while ago in place. Should be any year now... The bars are solid, stiffer than the sleeved version which I've also used. I thought the velobase page showed both versions, but that's not what I see now.

Gearing is 46/36/26 x 13-32, 7 speed indexed. It's been great at doing most things well. In a way it lets the road or mountain bikes really shine when I decide on a specific route one of those bikes was made for. Otherwise I grab this and wind up where I wind up.
