Sounds good, actually looks like the upper not good either, again maybe just the pic. FWIW I always layer all parts with grease so its never bare, that being said I have run many BB's set up a little loose with thick automotive axle grease when they were rough like this especially if the cups are rough too, really nothing to lose and you can get a lot more mileage out of them just fine.
