So I developed a small one about a month ago, but immediately changed my saddle and have been following the above advice. I took a week off and it reabsorbed, which is lucky because it was not in the "usual" spot and tiny. So far so good! It isn't a zit or ingrown hair. It is a small fluid sac deeper below the surface of the skin. The technical term for the lump is a subcutaneous cyst, but it is similar to a hyperplastic scar. I've been fighting these for years and unfortunately once one starts, I think it will stick around as long as you ride, that is why I knew I had to change something immediately. Last season I had been told by my doctor that the only way to get rid of it is surgically. I did nothing about it last year, but over the winter and no riding, it went away.
