Picked up an '80 DX-3000 today. Scraping the house to prep it for painting so I've only had a chance to give it a quick once-over and take a few pics. Unfortunately the original owner stripped off the Shimano Arabesque front and rear derailleurs, jacked the stem waay above the max line and threw on stem shifters. The good news is he replaced the front with Suntour NSL and the rear with Suntour VX which I've heard are both solid.

To do list: Throw on some MKS touring pedals, add a Brooks saddle, find some nice downtube shifters (suggestions?), and replace the foam pads with bar tape. Thinking maybe a light tan to match the accent color from the head and seat tubes. But the color on this thing, I just can't get enough of it. Panasonic called it Golden Brown and when the sun hits it, let me know tell you, it's a thing of beauty.

After I get it cleaned up and make the above changes, I'll do a proper photo shoot. Oh yeah, I paid $75 for it, so that was nice
