4/21: 26.5 miles (1:40; sadly no matter how much I continued to spin over the winter I didn't improve my fitness much)
4/22: 27.5 miles (same route just opposite direction of yesterday's ride...and a mile different? Oh yeah, I took a slight detour off-the-beaten path to spice things up a bit this weekend.
4/28: 51.80 miles (The official start to my riding season, the Sean's Ride Half Fondo, my 3rd year in a row doing this fun but timed ride and won't be my last! Even managed to shave a few minutes off my time from last year (3:54 vs 4:05) so I must be s..l..o..w..l..y progressing)
MTD: 105.8 miles
YTD: 105.8 miles
The last two years I always put my work life first, picked up as much over time as humanly possible (without burning out), unfortunately this affected my cycling. But not this year, my health, family, and hobbies will take priority (in that order) over working/making money this year. As a buddy of mine used to say, we need money to live but not to survive, it doesn't matter if I live in poverty so long as I'm happy in life.
