I too would suggest you check out the offerings from Trek in the $1500-$2000 price range, even lower if you look at the ALR's on both Emonda and Domane lines.

I had noise problems when I first built up my PF bike. One of the members here suggested I use green locktite and when I did it took care of my noise issues. That was using a Shimano Ultegra PF BB with the plastic cups. When I upgraded from a 5700 mix to full 6700 group I bought a BB that had aluminum cups that I installed with red locktite, It has never made a sound. I don't think I'd use another BB with plastic cups even though I was able to get it working quietly.
