Otherwise, the chain will drop back down to the small chain ring when you release the paddle. Not sure if this is an adjustment I need to make or just the way Campy is designed. Anybody else experienced this?
I use Campy 8-speed Ergo triple shifters, and the shifts between middle and big ring only take three clicks in both directions. I’ve set mine up so it overshifts down to the granny ring, but the chain always lands correctly thanks to a chain catcher. Whenever I drop to the granny, I immediately take up the overshifted cable by going back “up” two clicks (no, it doesn’t shift, or make noise on the chain). That way, the granny-to-middle shift also takes three clicks.
