My first road bike was built on a size 56 Scott Speedster S30 frameset from 2006. I would guess the only difference with the S40 frameset was the colourway. (Picture

The absolute upper limit for tyre size was (a true) 25 mm in the back; I had tried 28 to begin with, but it would jam against both the brake bridge and at the front derailleur clamp. Still a nice frame, wouldn't mind having one to keep at my parents' for example. BTW, the factory seat post is carbon-wrapped aluminium - just so you know when evaluating it for sale or a trade.
