I've only ever heard 'cykla' in Swedish. It tends to eliminate a lot of unnecessary words, though, and English tends to use many. A few native-born Americans have asked me how my bike 'drives,' as well, so at least the foreigner had an excuse.

It's true that many young Scandinavians, or at least Swedes, have basically native fluency in American English. Except for some children's programs where you can watch in either language, they have long chosen subtitles over dubbing. Each generation seems to start studying a bit younger than the last. The 7 year old who lives in my building started learning English as he was starting to learn to read and write Swedish, back when he was 5!
