Yes, they sent me a new one. I think I mailed the device to them on Friday, it reached them on Monday, and they sent me a message toward the end of that week saying the case was closed. A new device arrived a few days later. So between when I sent it and when I got the new one, I'm guessing about ten days went by, including two weekends.
For what it's worth, the new one works better than the old one ever did; the buttons are much easier to push.
rhm, thx for info...As you mentioned I have the same issue with buttons- they were very hard to push (when I reset the device my fingers almost hurt me
