I have often thought of Texas as a bail out state if it gets to the point where I cannot take California any more. But you are making me rethink that a bit. I have never seen a Mickey Ds that deserted. I have seen lobbies closed after 10pm. And I have seen the signs saying they don't serve walk ups at the window. But even in our little community there are more people inside any of the fast food spots than that picture. I do agree if it says open lobby 24/7 you should contact corporate.
It was 5AM on a Monday morning. While I'm a little surprised there's not more of a breakfast-on-the-way-to-work crowd, roughly midnight-0500 Monday is, IME, the deadest time of the week in general. I can usually ride around town for an hour or more without seeing a half dozen cars. Other nights, there's a 0230-0430 lull, but there are a couple of 0500 shift changes, and a cafe that opens at 0530 to get some traffic moving around.
