Another what to buy thread

I am 69 years old with a left knee replacement and a right hip replacement. The left hip isn't a lot better. I also could lose a few pounds, too. Anyway, I currently own a Disc Trucker that I dearly love. However, I am finding it getting more and more difficult to throw my leg over the bike. Especially if I have a trunk bag on my rack. I love the idea of cromoly and touring geometry, but I think I'm going to have to look at a step through frame/bike. Budget is a consideration, but I will probably sell the Surly. I rode a Fuji Traverse just today with disc brakes and it's OK, but I really don't know.

So, any suggestions? I still hope to do some 3 - 5 day credit card tours such as the Katy Trail, but I don't think I'll ever tour the world. Thanks in advance.
