There are 140 fixed speed cameras allowed in NYC, that’s 140 out of 2000 eligible schools. Hours that they are active are restricted. The fine is $50 for the owner, no points.

The mobile cars are called “police cars.” When a driver kills a person walking or a person on a bike, the police response is swift. They fan out and ticket people walking or people on bikes.
