We should keep in mind here that we are discussing the horrible Schwinn S6 rim with its very poor manufacturing tolerances and QC.

Can be quite difficult to get even brand new rims/wheels true.

+1 on the Bicycle Research rim pliers mentioned by T-Mar above.
