I'm going to agree with your LBS. I don't think the 4.5 AR wheels will fit. Here's why: I've got 25mm tires mounted on the 27.5mm wide 3.4 wheels. On a 27.5mm wide wheel, the 25mm tires measure 29mm+. My guess is that, on a 3.4, a 28mm tire would measure maybe between 32mm and 34mm -- and that would leave not much (if any) margin for wheel flex.
But the 4.5 AR wheels are a whopping 30.5mm and 31mm wide! That's a LOT wider than the 3.4's. And that means the tire is going to measure even wider. I haven't tried that combination, but I don't think it will work.
Photos of my wheels/tires won't matter. The 4.5 AR is a much wider wheel than the 3.4.

Have you had any issues with the 25s on the 3.4s now that you've ridden them on the Teammachine for a while?
I have Zipp 303 NSWs on the same frame and had to switch from 28mm tires to 25mm tires and even on the 25s I still get some rub on the seat stay when I am out of the saddle. The 303s are 28.9mm max width so my 25s are also measure over 29mm wide!
