How about one of those cross bikes made by Fuji but sold by Nashbar? They have enough clearance for 38c tires like the lightweight new Gravel King slicks. They come with crappy heavy wheels but maybe they're stronger. I've compared the geometry of these inexpensive Fuji bikes with the Cannondale road bikes and they are remarkably similar - even these cross bikes - their bottom bracket is a little bit higher but that won't matter to you at your height. At your weight the disk brakes are probably desirable too.
