was reflecting over my morning coffee how wonderful my evening rides have been these last few days. Just some of the best in quite some time.
Then I picked up the paper...
A UCSB Student gets killed riding, mid-morning on Gibraltar road. She was withwhat seemed to be a small group, out for a morning ride and coming down Gibraltar, when a Paving Truck w/ a trailer decided to pass her.
If it did happen 'west' of El Cielito intersection, then that Truck should not be passing ANYONE.
possible that she might have 'lost control' there? possible, but about as much as me winning the lottery (I don't buy tickets).
likely she got swiped? we'll see... maybe
I'll spare you all my rant; but I have very little expectation of the authorites. And I'm tired of feedin the automotive monster.

but today is again about loss
my condolences to her family, friends, riding buddies and all of us in the cycling community
she deserved better, we deserve better
