I got one myself. I saw a Trek 1000 (aluminum) years ago, with the same paint scheme (white/red), and I told myself I had to get it if I ever had the chance. Then I saw this bike in an ad last June. Steel and lugged. Never knew this even existed. I drove 4 hours one way and overbid another buyer on what was already an overpriced bike, to get this. But it's now a keeper.
