For realz, though. I did not like the finale when it aired. It felt like a cop out. Now that I have 20 years more life experience, I can see why they did what they did with those characters. I was just having this discussion with my wife about comedy as a genre and how sitcoms get run into the ground (because ratings=money) and stray so far from their original idea. See Big Bang Theory. Great first few seasons and then they introduced "female Sheldon" and jumped the proverbial shark. Same thing with Community. Amazing show for three seasons. It should have ended on it's 4th season, but they ousted the creator, wrote a really bizarre 4th season and it just kept on limping along as long as there was money to be made.
Seinfeld did not do that. They were the same awful people they were when they started the show. The finale was their misdeeds catching up with them.
