Maybe he thought that in that eye contact he communicated his crazy plan to me? How does he not (a) wait for me to go past before illegally changing lanes? (b) wait for car traffic that has right of way for the lane he's illegally changing into? (c) roll down the window and say 'hey man, I'm going over there so watch out', (d) give a honk or something?
