Bust your A** Lately?

Maybe this should go under "dumbest thing you've done." I'm so mad, embarrassed ,POed I could spit. Yeasterday, riding with a friend we came to a quick turn to a 12% back road climb. New route for me. I shifted wrong stalled, could not unclip fast enough, and came to a halt and flopped over on my left side. Now this is with my new Domane SLR9. So, if you check out my posts you'll see I'm a comback cyclist for the last year and have about 3k under my belt. This should have not happened. Can't belive I was so STUPID. As I'm going down my instincts were to SAVE THE BIKE so I held on and picked the bike up with my legs as I hit, wacking my left glute hard. Got up finished the ride (22 miles). Maybe a little sore. Rough night last night got very sore, so I went to Dr. got X-Rays. The good news no broken bones, just a good ass bruise and today can walk without pain. Following the Doc's advise and doing the rest and ice thing for three days.
Now to my question. Anyone else with this type of injury and how long to get back in the saddle? Have some long rides coming up. I swear I feel I can ride today but the Doc said three days than stetching and I can do what I want but expect 4-6 weeks of soreness.
O yea bike came out without a scratch, a little scuff on saddle, can hardly see it. Bodies heal, bikes don't.
