Well, since this has been revived......

I went through all the posts and didn't see one of the PDG Series prototypes mentioned so I'll put mine in here.

Best we have figured out is that these were part of a prototype run from Panasonic as they worked to prove to Schwinn they could build a bike worthy of the Paramount name. I had some growing pains sorting out some component issues with mine but it's now a very nice and competent road racer. It fact it keeps showing itself as faster on the same routes than my 1987 Waterford Paramount.

Then I might as well throw in the 1987 Paramount. Repainted by Waterford and then upgraded. This is serial number one for 1987.
