When I got my first Job in the power equipment repair business we used to install what is called a Bow Bar on a lot of chainsaws, back then most saws used Magnesium on all of the covers around the motors, we would have to modify the side clamp covers for clearance for the bar. We would use a hacksaw then save all the shavings until we had a good pile then light them up lol.
