Not to throw a wrench into things, but I believe the "antiquarian" sizes for English bikes were 27x1 ¼ and 26x1 ⅜.

Could send somebody into cycles of obsessive searching and disappointment. Especially since there are so many differenr ERTRO rim specs that all are called "26"!
