Well, I just can't seem to avoid accumulating E bikes.
The Bike exchange got a Currie e zip bike with rear rack mount button style battery pack donated and they want me to strip off the motor and etc so they can donate it as a regular bike.
On inspection of the battery pack the batteries were dead and this may be all that is wrong with it.
I am going to look for some used 12v 7 ah batteries at the sunnyvale Fry's flea market and install them in the old case to see if I can get it running again.
If that works I would like to find another rack mount battery case and install that on the other side of the rack. Then we could sell the bike for a couple hundred dollars to help support our non profit.
Does anyone have a battery case ( button style terminals ) or know where I might buy one without batteries. I notice that Monster Scooter sells a complete unit with batteries for $143. but would like to keep the price down by buying the batteries and installing them my self in the plastic case that looks like it is worth about $10.
Any help would be appreciated.
