Both of those cranksets that you mention are for 1/8 inch chain width, which is used in fixed gear bicycles and won't work with a geared bike!
You should make sure that any chainsets you look at are for 3/32 inch chain, which is the right width for a geared bike.
They make special chainrings for 1x that can better deal with the chainline variations when shifting, although I don't know too much about them, it might be worth looking into.
