B17's weren't particularly sought after BITD. The Pro and Team Pro models were.
Maybe by some, I love them all and have minimal trouble with any. Probably have 12-15 in all, the last pro I started to break in was being a bit of a pain, literally. I wiped it down with dressing and loosened it up a bit for the time being, made a big difference and is riding nicely. The Pro and Team models are thicker and therefore tougher to break in especially if they are not your thing. I am not as fond of the narrow ones for my sit bones but have a couple that work ok. The looks cannot be beat imho.
