I think Aldi's corporate felt like they got stung on these bike racks when they stocked them for their bike weeks (two weeks of biking accessories) last year. I bought one last year two weeks after the sale week for $24.99, and can attest that all of my area Aldi stores must have received twenty of these each and the store I frequent the most had them still six weeks later when they finally blew them out at $14.99. I probably should've bought a second one at that point just to have a spare, but being realistic, they do take up space even when still i nthe box collapsed, and doesn't seem like the sort of thing I should realisticly have to worry about breaking on me anytime in the forseeable future.
