No comparison.
Think of the LD1000 as an AR15, pretty powerful, if you aim it correctly, otherwise it's spray and pray. And think of the NR as an 8-guage. In terms of sheer long range size and visibility, you can't compare 6-LED's with a cluster of 19 of them.
On blink mode, the LD1000 still looks like a blinker, the NR looks like the tail light on a formula one car.
Although there is one blinker that comes close though. If you can get your hands on it. The old specialized blinker. It uses 2 3V lithium coin cells and instead of red, has this fire orange glow to it. The LED's focused and dispersed through a lens that gives it almost the same visibility as the NR with only 2 LED's.
On top of that, the specialized and NR blinkers both blink at 4Hz, which is pretty damn fast.
