Hoping to get back into cycling again (failed back in 2015) I went on the search for some cycling shoes I could use with toe clips. As I wrote in my introduction I am now 61, and my feet still remember flipping pedals to slide my foot into that springy cage... and I found a pair of shoes not meant for cycling but look great and I have tested briefly, while building my current bikes. I think they are considered leather sneakers by a company called Born. Style is Breves.




They certainly aren't cheap. But that said, love how they look a bit retro and the soles feel thick enough for my toe clip MKS pedals. The 'Tan' pictured are more difficult to find now but my local Dillards had them.

I think I finished my 2 bikes today. 1 single speed, 1 geared. Will share pics and info later. Very excited!
