That doesn't seem likely - a rack which prevents wheel removal? Care to expound?

I have the JandD Extreme, and they are not a perfect fit to LHT. It was necessary to bend the lower mounts to make rack fit level, which I really didn't want to do. The paint on JandD racks easily flakes off, which is true for all painted Al rod racks. My JandD Extreme weighs 1030g without hardware.

Tubus Tara and Duo low-rider racks will fit LHT/DT well (level), and weigh 400-500g installed. The Duo is a bit heavier but dispenses with the connecting hoop. Tubus racks are powdercoated (PC), which is a little more durable than paint, but eventually this wears too at contact points. Some use electrical tape or thin wall polymer tubing to reduce pannier rattle and rack abrasion.
